Her leadership has transformed WIBE into a thriving network that champions women’s professional success, personal growth, and confidence creating a safe, inspiring space where empowerment meets opportunity.

The vision for WIBE was birthed after Joanne’s remarkable journey as a finalist in the first-ever Miss AFRICA UK pageant in 2021. That experience ignited her deep passion for community empowerment, cultural representation, and positive change. It reminded her that, regardless of background, education, or social standing, every woman holds the potential to lead, inspire, and make a difference.

A qualified Oral and Facial Aesthetics Practitioner and accomplished businesswoman, Joanne blends professionalism with compassion, helping others look and feel confident, empowered, and beautiful both inside and out.

Her expertise in aesthetics and business development reflects her commitment to excellence, innovation, and client care, while her approach to empowerment extends beyond beauty, it’s about self-worth, purpose, and transformation.

Alongside her professional achievements, Joanne proudly holds the title of Miss Glamour Classic Greater Manchester 2025, using her platform to advocate for confidence, empowerment, and positive representation.

As a BAME Officer and community leader, she continues to speak out for equality, inclusion, and social progress, strengthening community ties and inspiring women to embrace their full potential.

Her pageant journey alongside her academic, political, and business experiences proves that beauty and brains can make a powerful impact. Joanne stands as living proof that one woman’s courage to step forward can inspire many others to rise.

Originally from Zimbabwe, Joanne’s heart for empowerment reaches beyond the UK she strives to inspire and support women in Africa as well, helping them discover their value, build confidence, and create sustainable livelihoods.

With the help of God and the continued support of the WIBE community, Joanne’s vision is to transform lives, build bridges between cultures, and create lasting impact through faith, unity, and action.
